“What are you watching right now?” It’s a common question to ask your friends these days. To keep you up to speed, we put together two handy infographics on the top streaming and most binged shows for the first half of 2018.
BEN conducted research on the most binged shows across Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Hulu. Here's what we found!
While Netflix had 7 of the top-10 most binged shows across all streaming, Der Lack ist ab, from Amazon Prime Video was the top binged show overall. Der Lack ist ab was also the most binged show for the month of January. 100% of viewers watched 2+ episodes at a time! Neo Yokio was also a fan favorite, coming in at the number two spot overall. In the infographic below, you can see that for the month of February, 100% of viewers binge-watched more than 2 shows at a time.

We took a look at the top-10 shows on streaming during the first half of 2018. Research done by the BEN team shows that from January to June, 66.6 million people were streaming Stranger Things. Stranger Things was also the top streamed show for the month of January, with viewership at 15.3 million.
Fuller House was a close second. It was the most streamed show for two consecutive months! The show received 12.2 million viewers in February and 12.4 million in March.
We also took a closer look at streaming by ethnicity. From the infographic below, you can see that 13 Reasons Why was a popular show across the board. Ranking number 1 with U.S. total views, number 3 amongst U.S. Blacks/African-Americans, and number 1 for U.S. Hispanics/Latinos.
