Each year we find ourselves at the Time Warner Center surrounded by best in class producers as they discuss new opportunities and challenges they face in the entertainment landscape with their peers and aspiring producers. This year, producers such as Chris Rock (Everybody Hates Chris, Good Hair, Director: Amy Schumer: Live at the Apollo), Tina Fey (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, 30 Rock, Mean Girls), Cheo Hodari Coker (Marvel’s Luke Cage, Ray Donovan, Almost Human), Matt Damon (Manchester by the Sea, Good Will Hunting, The Bourne Franchise), and many more joined us for an exciting day of panels and exciting discussions.

The BEN Team hosted meetings with producers that were looking for greater opportunities to think in scale with their projects, and learning how to support their properties through product integration. We were greeted by new faces and returning partners that came by to thank us for our support in the past which makes this even more of a rewarding event for us to attend annually.

On stage, prolific producers such as Lori McCreary (Madam Secretary, The Story of God with Morgan Freeman, Invictus; President, PGA) even gave us a nod on stage when someone asked about how to gain support for their project. Many producers appreciate that one of our highest priorities is to help producers maintain creative control as we understand that content will always be king to generate viewership.

During this Produced by Conference, we found that many producers have become far more open to the idea of integration as a natural fit for their projects, and that networks are starting to be more collaborative with producers as it relates to finances so there is more transparency that they are witnessing in the industry as many producers have more options than they did in years past.

Product Integration can easily be the next frontier in advertising and as these two worlds continue to merge, we are thrilled that we will be in the forefront to lead the way, both supporting our brand partners as well as the members of the guild at the PGA.
