TOM CLANCY’S THE DIVISION

A series of digital videos with CorridorDigital, RocketJump, and DevinSuperTramp

THE CHALLENGE

With the launch of Ubisoft’s Tom Clancy’s The Division, Ubisoft reached out to BEN to create high quality live-action videos and promote The Division across gaming audiences leading up until its release.

THE SOLUTION

The BEN team worked with three large film making YouTube channels – CorridorDigital, RocketJump, and DevinSuperTramp – to team up and create four individual but related videos to promote The Division in a massive way. The videos were hosted on each of the content creator’s channels, Ubisoft’s YouTube channel, and stitched together into a 30 second short film that was hosted on Amazon Prime’s website. In addition to working with these film making channels, BEN and Ubisoft identified gaming channels to attend a Division event to play and promote the game’s Open Beta. Following the release of these videos, BEN partnered with gaming influencers to create videos and Twitch Live Streams to be streamed around the launch generating views across this target date and boost the online trend.

THE RESULTS

A 360 example of a multiplatform success as BEN coordinated four creative narrative videos, a 30-minute Amazon Prime edit, over 80 gameplay videos collectively generating 32 million views, as well as Twitch streams. The Twitch streams that occurred at the launch of the game boosted The Division to the #1 Featured Game on the Twitch.tv homepage and received millions of additional views.
